INTRODUCTION
Electrically operated switches are available with either electrical or mechanical hold. In the mechanical hold configuration, a latching mechanism holds the rotor in position after switching. A pulse at least 25 milliseconds wide is required to switch the rotor to the original position. In the electrical hold configuration, it is necessary to keep the driver energized to hold the rotor in its switched position. A spring mechanism returns the rotor to its original position when the driver is de-energized. Electrical hold requires 250 milliamps maximum sustaining current for drivers. For lower current requirements, consult factory.
